Just got done listening to the "Deluxe" 2-Disc version of NYOIL's street album "Hood Treason". Have to say, he basically just added a bunch of interludes (aka big ups from all his friends) in-between songs, and did only a handful of actual new tracks. There was one song that screamed crossover-desperate...and I mean to Nas "You Owe Me" proportions. Still, there were a few new tracks that I enjoyed, and this is one of them; the last track on the album, in fact.
To me, the song seems like NYOIL's "One Mic" in a way. (Yeah, I know, the Nas-NYOIL comparisons have been done to death, shurrup) It's got echoing, somber female vocals, "soldier" drums, and some melancholy piano. NYOIL's not saying anything that hasn't been said before, but the song's still dope. Enjoy.
